Which Prosper ISD Schools Have the Best Ratings?

Quick answer: Based on the Texas Education Agency's 2025 School Report Cards, Jim Spradley Elementary (95/100) and Ralph and Mary Lynn Boyer Elementary (94/100) are the highest-rated campuses in Prosper ISD overall. Among middle schools, Lorene Rogers Middle leads at 93/100, and among high schools, Rock Hill High School tops the list at 92/100. Nearly every Prosper ISD campus scored in the high 80s to mid-90s out of 100, reflecting a district that performs well across the board.

Every family relocating to Prosper asks some version of this question, so I pulled the most recent TEA data campus by campus to make comparing schools easier.

How TEA rates schools

The Texas Education Agency scores every public school campus from 0–100 based on three domains:

• Student Achievement (STAAR performance)
• School Progress (year-over-year academic growth)
• Closing the Gaps (how well a campus supports all student groups)

Those three domains combine into the overall rating. TEA report cards are published annually. Prior to 2023 ratings were expressed as A–F letter grades rather than numeric scores.

What stands out

Prosper ISD's elementary campuses are especially strong, with several schools scoring in the low-to-mid 90s and none below 84. Jim Spradley Elementary's 95 stands out for posting the district's highest scores in all three domains simultaneously — achievement, growth, and equity.

A note on choosing a school by rating alone

A TEA rating is a useful data point, but it's a snapshot, not the whole picture. Class size, program offerings (like STEM, fine arts, or dual credit), campus culture, and your child's specific needs matter just as much.
